I just love Audrey so don't get me wrong, I don't want to compare her to anyone alive now.....but.....

It is hard to judge from just a few movies and only a handful of interviews, but Keira Knightley seems to have something different then most actresses who have come along in a while. Her composure at this point in time, along with her pesonality seem to separate her from some other young actresses. But as I said, it is still too early to make a complete judgement.
Anybody have somebody else in mind? -

Tue, February 24, 2004 - 11:30 AMQuite a few people have made the comparison with Natalie Portman. I think some of her film decisions have supported that as well. Though her first big role in The Professional was a Lolita-esque character, there was still a lot of innocence, charm and depth to it. Meanwhile, I believe she passed up the chance to play 'Lolita' because it seemed a little mature a role for her at the time. Kudos to her for having a set of standards in today's somewhat fast society...

If some one were to ask me my favorite actress today... I would, hands down, say Julia Roberts. Many people including my husband do not find her attractive at all. I think she is beautiful (and I do NOT use that word lightly).
Audrey is definately one of a kind... and I do not think it is fair to compare anyone today to her. -

the only other person that sprang to mind as being a breath of fresh air in film was:
audrey tatou from "amelie". she was an adorable little sparkler who retained amazing freshness and innocence in that film. i haven't seen any of her other films...but i loved that one. -
